SO, on Monday 12th March I had the pleasure of collaborating with global chocolate masterminds, Godiva! The brand asked if the Sophie Tea Art team could be a part of their Easter campaign and create an original artwork on one of their chocolate eggs.
Before I work with any brand, it's important for me to understand if it fits well with my own. I went straight to the website and saw this quote from the founder, Pierre Draps...
“I was born in chocolate…it has seduced me and I have dedicated myself all my life to this art. I have lived a wonderful dream.”
Obviously, it was a yes from me!
I arrived to Greek Street, Soho and was escorted to the top floor to meet the other brand ambassadors.
Godiva partnered with six creative influencers, each decorating their own bespoke Easter egg to celebrate the launch of the Godiva Spring Collection in Sainsbury’s stores, as well as the artistic heritage of the Godiva brand.

The evening began with an introduction from Godiva's chocolatiers. As we gathered round they talked us through the science of chocolate and what makes Godiva a premium quality chocolate brand.
We were also taught how to taste chocolate.. as if I don't know already!? But no, think more wine tasting instead with chocolate.
This along with all the mini chocolate eggs confetti'd over the table, being the legend that I am, I gave my complementary gift bag of chocolates to my driver of the evening.
I seriously regretted that decision the next morning with my cup of tea.
We were then left to get creative with our eggs... what's not to like, chocolate AND art!
The evening was so much fun and it was a pleasure to be invited to represent the Godiva brand.
