The winning bidder of this lot will win a commissioned work of their choice, from any of Sophie's past artistic eras, painted by Sophie Tea! This piece is extra special, since Sophie stopped taking commissioned work around 2 years ago.

We are so excited to take part in our very first LIVE auction, taking place this Wednesday 7th December, in collaboration with TateWard auction house. The Auction 'Urban & Contemporary Art' will take place at Dray Walk Gallery, Ely's Yard at 4pm and will be a physical auction, with the opportunity to bid online too.

Sophie's piece 'Blank Canvas' will be auctioned alongside some of the greatest artists such as Banksy, Tracy Emin and Damien Hurst...here's all you need to know.

The auction takes place on Wednesday 7th December at 4pm

When does bidding begin?

The auction is open for pre-bidding now, so you can put your max bid down if you can't make it on Wednesday!

When does bidding close?

'Blank Canvas' is due to go up for auction at around 6pm and bidding will be live for around 20 minutes before it closes. After this no other bids will be taken.

What kind of auction is this?

This auction is a LIVE auction, meaning there will be someone with a hammer and you bid in person within the Auction house!

Where does it take place?

This auction will take place at Dray Walk Gallery, Ely's Yard, 15 Hanbury street, E1 6QR

However, if you can't attend the auction, don't worry as you can still place a bid online.

How do I sign up to bid online if I can't make it?

In order to bid, you will need to make an account and sign in with the auction house TateWard. You can do this here!

How do I bid?

You will need to place a maximum bid anytime before the sale ends, which means you place the absolute max bid price you would be willing to pay for the lot. As the sale progresses, if/when other collectors also bid on your lot of interest, TateWard will automatically bid on your behalf for the lowest competitive price up to, but not exceeding, your defined maximum bid amount.

For example if your maximum bid is £7,000, and someone bids £6,500, you won't pay £6,500 only the next bidding increment to £6,500 which is £100 for this price range.

What happens if two people have the same maximum bid?

If two bidders attempt to enter the same maximum bid, the first bidder to put forward that amount will be the winner.
